MATS MALM
Mats Malm is a professor of Comparative literature at the University of Gothenburg. His main fields are Early Modern and Medieval Scandinavian literature and culture, as modelled on the heritage of Antiquity. His monographs in English are Voluptuous Language and Poetic Ambivalence. The Example of Swedish Baroque (2011) and The Soul of Poetry Redefined. Vacillations of Mimesis from Aristotle to Romanticism (2012).
He is head of the digitization project The Swedish Literature Bank (litteraturbanken.se), founder and previous head of Centre for Digital Humanities, University of Gothenburg and founder and previous chairman of Digital Humanities in the Nordic Countries. In the Centre for Critical Heritage Studies, he is one of the leaders of the cluster Embracing the Archive. 2015-2019 he leads the project Conjuring up the Artist from the Archives: Ivar Arosenius. Digitization and Coordination of Archives for Enhanced Accessibility and Research (aroseniusarkivet.se).
